Dept. of Buildings warns BX residents about subdivided apartments

THE BRONX - The Department of Buildings is handing out flyers in the Bronx warning residents and landlords of the seriousness of illegally subdivided apartments.

Today, officials from the department hit the streets near East 180th and Morris Park Avenue handing out flyers.

Earlier this week, several people had to be rescued from a burning building with illegally subdivided apartments.
