KINGSBRIDGE - City officials have announced that they are in talks with developers to possibly revamp an empty lot in Kingsbridge. The 80,000 square-foot space, located at West 230th Street and Broadway, is currently used as a parking lot. Some residents and community leaders say it could be put to better use, and that it is an eyesore to the area. Some officials say the lot should be redeveloped into a shopping center, while others say they want a mix of residences and commercial outlets. The city has extended the deadline to receive proposals until Nov. 7.
