THE BRONX - A patient at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center was killed after a large piece of diagnostic equipment collapsed on top of them.

The Bronx hospital is not releasing the person's name because of privacy issues.

It released a statement saying, "Our hearts go out to the family during this difficult time. We are in the midst of conducting an investigation and when we have a conclusive report, we will provide more information."
