THE BRONX - A Bronx cab driver accused of stabbing his estranged girlfriend to death in an apparent jealous rage was arraigned Friday afternoon.

Dionis Espinal has pleaded not guilty to a number of charges, including murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

According to prosecutors, Espinal chased Katherine German on the Pelham Parkway on Aug. 29, and intentionally rammed his vehicle into hers, causing it to flip over.

Police say the 31-year-old then approached the overturned car and stabbed the mother of his child several times in the abdomen.

German's loved ones say the 21-year-old had a restraining order against Espinal. She leaves behind the couple's 1-year-old daughter.
