The 80-year-old received a lifetime ban from the NBA this week for racist comments.

NEW YORK - Disgraced Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling is possibly battling cancer.

ESPN is reporting the health news days after Sterling received a lifetime ban from the NBA for making racists comments. 

Sterling was also fined $2.5 million, and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver says he will be pressured to sell the team. 

The 80-year-old's comments sparked outrage across the country, including protests outside the Staples Center.
