District Attorney: Bronx pastor, principal indicted for rape

A local church pastor and principal has been indicted for the alleged ongoing rape of a young girl, according to a release from the Bronx

THE BRONX - A local church pastor and principal has been indicted for the alleged ongoing rape of a young girl, according to a release from the Bronx District Attorney's office.

Officials say Dr. Michael A. Clare, 38, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old girl for more than three years. Clare is a senior minister at Harvest Worship Center International and head of the attached school, Harvest Preparatory Academy.

According to the District Attorney, Clare is facing several charges, including rape in the first degree and endangering the welfare of a child.

Clare faces a maximum sentence of up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
