THE BRONX - Department of Education (DOE) officials were booed at a town hall meeting last night over the future of Gompers High School.

Parents, teachers and students held signs, chanted and made pleas to keep the school open. The Bronx school is just one of 19 city schools in danger of being phased out.

The Panel for Education Policy will take a final vote on all the schools during a hearing in Brooklyn next Thursday.
