DOE unveils new citywide anti-bullying campaign

THE BRONX - Starting on Wednesday, Bronx students will have a new outlet if they are being bullied at school.

The program, called BRAVE or Building Respect Acceptance and Voice Through Education, will be a citywide initiative aimed at connecting students with mental health professionals who will listen and give advice before a student has the chance to make a drastic decision.

The BRAVE program is 100-percent confidential, allowing students to freely and openly tell professionals what's going on without the fear of getting in trouble. To speak with a BRAVE counselor, call 212-709-3222
