THE BRONX - A waiter is celebrating his 50th year of employment at Arthur Avenue landmark Mario’s Restaurant.
Dominic Sanginito thought that waiting tables at the restaurant would be a short-term job for extra money. He soon realized that he loved the job too much to leave. Even though he had a career in insurance, he picked up extra shifts at Mario’s.
After 50 years, Sanginito says he plans to keep working at Mario's until he can no longer walk.
“He looks as good now as he did years ago,” Bronx resident Anita Florio tells News 12 The Bronx.
