Dozens arrested in Parkchester drug ring

THE BRONX - More than 20 people were arrested as part of a massive drug bust in Parkchester, according to the district attorney's office.

Authorities say the those arrested are members of gangs and used young recruits to peddle heroin, ecstasy and cocaine. Much of the dealings were conducted in front of Community School 102.

Police arrested 24 people on a 139-count indictment. Seven more are wanted in connection with the drug ring, according to police.

Officials say the drug ring made approximately $500,000 per year.
