THE BRONX - Dozens of cyclists took a tour through the Bronx today as part of the Bronx River Bike Tour.

About 40 bike riders participated in the 17-mile tour, which included Williamsbridge Oval and Starlight Park as two of its starting points. The tour ended at the Kensico Dam in Valhalla.

Three bike groups, WE Bike NYC, Boogie Down Rides and the Bronx River Alliance, attended the event. Many of the riders say they participated to show more people what the Bronx has to offer.

The Bronx River Parkway is open to cyclists on Sundays through the end of September.
