THE BRONX - Prostate cancer will affect one in six men in the U.S.
Dr. Sherwin Zargaroff says there are some ways to try to prevent the disease, including losing weight and not smoking.
Zargaroff also says that certain foods can help prevent prostate cancer. He recommends foods high in Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E and folate. He also noted that men should stay away from foods high in fat and sugar as well as meat.
Zargaroff's patient, Glenroy Wiltshire, is a prostate cancer survivor from University Heights and emphasizes the importance of an early screening.
"Get tested, as soon as possible cause there's no tomorrow," he says.
