THE BRONX - Drivers are no longer battling snow and ice-covered roadways, and are instead dodging potholes.

The Bronx River Parkway is among the worst in the borough with massive potholes in every lane. Many complain that the bumpy ride is taking a toll on their cars.

Vehicles are also swerving around the bumps, or slamming on the brakes, which is slowing down traffic and creating the risk of accidents.

The Department of Transportation says it repaired more than 1,100 potholes citywide on Thursday alone, and is doing its best to keep up with the damage.
