Drivers: Grass at Pelham Parkway is dangerous

THE BRONX - Drivers who commute through a Pelham Parkway intersection say untamed grass there is increasing chances for an accident.

The drivers say the grass near I-95 is so high it obscures oncoming vehicles. A local official, Assemblyman Michael Benedetto (D-Bronx), says he has tried to have the issue addressed.

?I contacted DOT,? Benedetto says. The assemblyman wants to know why a nearby lawn is maintained by the Department of Transportation and the intersection isn?t.

Efforts to reach both the Department of Parks & Recreation and the DOT were unsuccessful.
