THE BRONX - New parking signs are popping up around the city, and many people are complaining that they’re more difficult to read.

Some drivers say the lettering on the updated signs is too small, making it nearly impossible to read from a distance.

The new signage went up along Zerega Avenue last week, and residents there say it’s resulted in a lot of tickets from drivers who may not have been able to see or read the signs.

The Department of Transportation says the rollout for the new signs started in different parts of the city about a year ago. It stands behind the changes made, saying they reduce visual clutter and make the actual parking rule clearer to understand.
