THE BRONX - Five people are behind bars after a major multi-agency drug bust at a Fordham day care center.

Police are calling the drug ring a sophisticated criminal organization that spans from Puerto Rico to the Bronx. The alleged leader of the enterprise, Juan Valdez, was arrested at the Sweet Home Day Care Center on East 184th Street, along with four others.

According to investigators, the group is charged with trafficking large quantities of cocaine and oxycodone. They say that approximately $7,500 in cash was seized from a bedroom where Valdez was allegedly staying, and drugs were found hidden inside children's items.
