Eagle Academy students give BX parks some elbow grease

THE BRONX - Students at Eagle Academy are pitching in to help their local communities as part of a citywide day of service.

About 200 Bronx students are giving Van Cortlandt Park and Soudview Park a little elbow grease and doing some gardening Monday to kick off the school's Eagle Week.

Eagle Academy students from Queens and Brooklyn are also helping out at parks in other boroughs.
