THE BRONX - Volunteers taught kids how to shake off bad habits that hurt the environment at the annual Earthfest celebration in Pelham Bay Park Sunday.

The celebration featured music, crafts and animals to help teach the kids about the roles they play in our world.

Organizers say that after the long winter, getting kids outside is good for their mind, body and spirit.

They hope that after the event, both kids and parents will think twice before throwing a piece of paper out of a window.
