THE BRONX - A new low-income apartment building has officially opened in Morrisania.

The eco-friendly Arbor House was built to encourage healthy, environmentally conscious lifestyles. The facility is equipped with a gym, a rooftop garden and technology in each apartment that measures the amount of electricity being used.

The development says more than 5,000 applications were received for only 124 apartments. The selected residents will start moving in next week.
