THE BRONX - Bronx members of the City Council led a rally Tuesday to oppose planned MTA service cuts.

The council members are hoping to get 25,000 signatures on a petition and say straphangers who signed the petition are looking for an outlet to demonstrate their frustration and anger.

"This will indicate that the city council has mobilized the public throughout the city," says City Council member James Vacca.

Once the 25,000 signatures are collected, the City Council members say they'll present the information at a hearing.
