THE BRONX - Bronx residents strongly impacted by Hurricane Sandy face another challenge in the coming days - finding a functional polling place come Election Day.

Officials with the Board of Elections (BOE) say two major polling sites have been affected by the storm. The Locust Point Civic Association was heavily damaged, forcing the BOE to set up a new location in an MTA parking lot near the Throgs Neck Bridge.

In addition, P.S. 175 on City Island lost power. Officials say they are trying to hook up a generator by Tuesday.
