KINGSBRIDGE - A Kingsbridge firehouse celebrated its 100-year anniversary today.

Nearly 100 members of the city's bravest gathered at Engine 81/Ladder 46 to remember the sacrifices of fellow firefighters from years past.

A plaque was dedicated to late firefighter Eugene Studer, who was killed while serving in World War II.

Firefighters agree that the area's population and landscape may have changed over the century, but say the firehouse's commitment to Kingsbridge and its surrounding communities hasn't wavered.
