Man shot in head in own Allerton apartment

THE BRONX - The NYPD is trying to track down the person who fatally shot a man in the head inside his Allerton apartment. 

According to police, multiple 911 calls were made at around 1 a.m. reporting a shooting at 2450 Williamsbridge Road. 

When they arrived at the scene, they found 29-year-old Eusebio Mendez with a gunshot wound to the head. He was declared dead at the scene. 

Investigators say that at this time, it doesn't appear that there was a dispute of any kind prior to the shooting.
