EASTCHESTER - An evacuation order has been lifted following a propane tanker crash Wednesday afternoon in Eastchester.

The crash happened at the intersection of Boston Road and Connor Street. None of the propane spilled from the tanker, but nearby homes and buildings were evacuated as a precaution. Firefighters pumped the gas from the damaged truck into a new tanker so the damaged one could be taken from the scene.

No one was hurt in the accident, which involved the tanker and another vehicle.
