THE BRONX - The former NYPD officer convicted of raping a woman at a motel in 2008 was sentenced Friday to 15 years in prison.

Jose Arroyo was found guilty of drugging the woman's drink while she was in a bathroom and then raping her in a Westchester motel. Arroyo was also charged with kidnapping but was acquitted.

Arroyo maintains that the sex was consensual.
