THE BRONX - Former representative Anthony Weiner is back on Twitter, and possibly back in this fall's mayoral race.

The married Democrat resigned from Congress in 2011 after tweeting a lewd photo of himself, and then lying about his account being hacked.

Weiner has a new Twitter account called @Anthony Weiner that already has thousands of followers.

His first tweet was a link to a policy statement outlining how to keep New York City the capital of the middle class.  The tweet is sparking rumors that he could run for mayor.

Weiner hasn't officially announced his candidacy for mayor, but the policy statement was paid for by the group "Weiner for Mayor."
