Experts: Earbuds a greater risk over headphones

THE BRONX - Parents tune in! How your kids choose to listen to their favorite musical artists could have an impact on their ear health.

According to doctors, music lovers who use earbuds have a greater risk of damaging the ear canal in comparison to those who pick headphones, which go completely around the lobe. Some say they've seen an increase in hearing loss among young people that they would normally only see in adults.

As an extra precaution, experts remind kids not to share their ear gear or listen to music too loudly.
