Facebook rolls out new privacy settings

THE BRONX - The social media site Facebook is unveiling new, simpler privacy settings amid growing concerns that the site hasn't been doing enough to protect its users' information.

Many people, including Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), were upset that third parties could access personal information without the user's consent.

"I was a little worried about the privacy settings because I have my info there, my birthday, my kids' names on it," says Facebook user Yolanda Crespo.

Last week, Facebook's co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the site would gradually roll out simpler privacy controls over the next few weeks.
