THE BRONX - Social media is playing a role in today?s midterm elections.

City officials are encouraging voters to use applications such as Facebook and Twitter to alert them about any problems encountered at polling stations.

A spokesperson for the city?s Board of Elections says the agency has put together a dedicated Twitter-response team to address any issues.
