Famed Bronx Zoo cobra to get a new name

THE BRONX - The cobra that escaped from the Bronx Zoo is getting a new name and officials want the public to vote.

The Egyptian cobra gained notoriety after it escaped from an enclosed area in the Reptile House. Employees found the snake curled in a dark corner in the same building.

Officials have narrowed down the snake's name to five choices: Agnes, Amaunet, Cleopatra, Subira and Mia.
