Families displaced after a two-alarm fire consumed their homes in Throggs Neck on Sunday are now trying to salvage what they can.

Officials say the flames broke out at 9 Schuyler Terrace at around 6 p.m., and quickly spread to six other residences all located in close quarters. Four of those homes were completely destroyed by the fire.

The Red Cross is assisting the affected families....
