Nearly 50 people are left homeless after a fire tore through a Morrisania apartment building.The fire began at 595 East 167 St. near Boston Road

THE BRONX - Nearly 50 people are left homeless after a fire tore through a Morrisania apartment building.

The fire began at 595 East 167 St. near Boston Road yesterday afternoon. Officials say the fire started on the sixth floor.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries in the incident.
