THE BRONX - Bronx families and friends who lost loved ones to gun violence came together Friday night.

The Bronx Documentary Center in Melrose held a "Night of Remembrance" for the community, to not only remember those lost to gun violence but discuss ways to stop the bloodshed.

Cassandra Ayala says her 26-year-old stepson was killed in front of his house.

She says the community has to reach out to the youth so they don't become the next shooters or victims.

The center is also currently showing a photo exhibit of families shattered by senseless killings.
