Family asks for help finding alleged attacker

THE BRONX - A Bronx family is asking for the public's help in finding a man who allegedly assaulted their 12-year-old daughter, shattering her jaw.

Steven Pellecier, 12-year-old Shellsie's older brother, says he was walking with his sister near the Pelham Houses when they were approached by a man. Pellecier says a scuffle ensued and then Shellsie was punched in the jaw and fell to the ground unconscious.

Shellsie, who is a member of the 49th Precinct Explorer Program, is now terrified of walking alone. She is undergoing another surgery on her jaw Thursday.
