THE BRONX - A Bronx family is accusing Montefiore Hospital of allowing their elderly grandmother to leave and failing to inform them about her disappearance.

Karen Paris says she brought her grandmother, Eloise King, to the hospital Friday after it became apparent the woman is suffering from dementia. Paris says the nurse told her she could leave and return at 2 p.m.

According to Paris, 10 minutes before she was supposed to visit her grandmother, she received a call saying the elderly woman had gone missing. The senior was later found by security guards on Pelham Parkway.

Paris says she is considering suing the hospital for negligence.
