THE BRONX - Family and friends gathered today to say goodbye to a local high school football star who was gunned down last month on 175th Street.

Kurt Lawrence, who attended Kennedy High School, was in the wrong place at the wrong time, according to family members.

A senior, Lawrence was going to graduate in June and planned on playing college football. Kennedy High School plans on giving Lawrence a diploma posthumously.
