Family looking for answers after hit-and-run

THE BRONX - A family is looking for answers after their father was struck and killed on the Cross Bronx Expressway Sept. 28.

Juan Aponte was struck and killed by a truck while walking on the expressway at 4 a.m. His daughter, Christina Aponte, says her father left without taking his wallet, keys or phone. Aponte was also disabled and could not walk long distances.

The family is asking anyone with information about Aponte?s death to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. There is a $2,000 reward for valid information.
