THE BRONX - The family of a transplant patient is hoping to encourage others to become bone marrow donors.
Tiffany Glasgow received a bone marrow transplant in October. Before her transplant, a diseased liver and sickle cell anemia left Tiffany in constant pain.
Every four hours, Tiffany takes at least four pills to fight off infection. Her little body is vulnerable to illness, so she has to wear a mask when visitors come by the house. However, she's got more energy and a brighter spirit now two months after her procedure.
Her mother says she is grateful for the kindness of the stranger who helped give her daughter a second chance. Siloane London says that her mission is to help other people who also need transplants.
