THE BRONX - The family of the Bronx woman killed in last week's fatal Tappan Zee Bridge crash is struggling mightily in the wake of her death.

Hannah Ayeh-Brachie, a 56-year-old mother of four from Rockland County, was killed on impact by a wrong-way driver. Brachie's husband, Newman, was in the driver's seat when his wife was killed, and sustained serious chest injuries.

Family members say they are functioning on a day-to-day basis, but add that they are completely distraught by Ayeh-Brachie's death.

Ayeh-Brachie owned several businesses in the Bronx, including a hair salon in Tremont.

Meanwhile, police have yet to press charges against the driver in the crash. They are awaiting toxicology reports and other pending evidence in the investigation.
