CONCOURSE VILLAGE - A family mourning their dead son spoke out to defend his character at a press conference Friday evening.

Quran Lucas was walking with a large group at around 2:30 a.m. Thursday when a scuffle broke out. Lucas, a college student, was stabbed to death during the incident.

When asked about the incident, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said Lucas was part of an aggressive group that was trying to steal from a father and son.

The Lucas family says that does not sound like their son at all. They gathered with members of the Concourse Village community to share stories and call for justice.

The investigation is ongoing. Police have not made any arrests so far.
