THE BRONX - It's been almost one year since a horrific car crash killed three generations of one family when their SUV plunged nearly 60 feet off the Bronx River Parkway.

Seven people died on April 29, 2012, including two grandparents, two adult daughters and three grandchildren when their Honda Pilot careened off the elevated parkway and into a wooded area of the Bronx Zoo.

"It's something that would stay recorded in our minds for the rest of our lives, and that is how it will remain," says one family member.

The crash prompted the city to construct a 3,000-foot concrete barrier in both directions on the parkway to make driving in the area safer.
