Family seeks justice year after daughter's death

THE BRONX - The family of a Bronx woman who was hit and killed a year ago on the Grand Concourse is calling for the vehicle's driver - who was never caught - to surrender to police.

Police say 28-year-old Ivette Diaz was killed by a black SUV as she crossed the street at 165th Street. Family members say Diaz has just returned from her sister's birthday party, where she acted as the designated driver.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
