Fans get chance to own piece of Yankee history

THE BRONX - Fans of the Bronx Bombers are getting the chance to own a piece of Yankee history.

Former first baseman Chris Chambliss is auctioning off the jersey he wore when he hit a game-winning single in the 1976 ALCS that advanced the pinstripes to the World Series.

Bidding starts online Wednesday at $25,000 and runs until Dec. 15. A portion of the sale will benefit the Reggie Jackson Foundation.
