THE BRONX - There will be a change of service for tonight's commute on the Lexington Avenue 4 and 5 lines.

The overnight repairs will begin at 10 p.m. and last until 5 a.m. tomorrow as part of the FASTRACK program. The track work will take place in the express tunnels of the 4 and 5 trains.

Only local 4 train service will run in both directions between 125 Street and Grand Central-42 Street stations. Number 5 train service will end early tonight; commuters can take the 2 train from East 180 Street to 149 Street for alternate service.

Number 4 trains will also provide service between 149 Street and Bowling Green stations. Commuters can expect the same changes to their commute on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

During the FASTRACK shutdown workers will be able to repair water damage and clean track debris. Delays have been reduced by 4.4 percent in areas where FASTRACK was performed.
