THE BRONX - Two men posing as police officers broke into a West Farms apartment and tied up a father and son before robbing their home.

It happened around 11 p.m. Sunday on East 181st Street.

Jason Guerrero says he was returning home from visiting family in Massachusetts when he found his father lying face down with his hands duct-taped behind his back inside their apartment.

Suddenly, Guerrero was restrained by a man hiding behind the door who told him to "be quiet" before duct-taping his hands behind his back.

Guerrero says that is when another man emerged from the apartment bedroom searching for things to steal.

"They told my dad they were policemen, but policemen don't act like that," he says.

The two suspects who claimed to be cops stole $400, a watch and a new pair of sneakers.

Guerrero says the two cop impersonators also carried a gold badge with the words 'Special Police' inscribed on it.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
