THE BRONX - This weekend, Frederick Douglass Academy III will play in the PSAL B division basketball championship game.

The game will be played in memory of 2012 graduate and former basketball captain Daouda Ridiayee, who was killed last summer in a car accident.

"He's the epitome of an FDA III basketball player," said FDA III head coach Jumel Carlos. "He worked hard, he wasn't one of the greatest players. He worked himself into becoming a basketball player."
