FDNY ban on new hires continues

THE BRONX - The FDNY ban on hiring new firefighters will continue until the city agrees to court-imposed hiring methods.

A federal judge placed the order after criticizing the department's handling of a discrimination lawsuit in August.

The city was also ordered to create a new FDNY entrance exam.
