THE BRONX - The FDNY has confirmed that it took firefighters about double the usual response time to get to the scene of a fatal New Year's Eve fire in Soundview.

According to officials, the initial 911 caller reported the wrong address. They say the first responders who made it to the three-alarm blaze on Beach Avenue had come from farther away.

June Debo, 73, is among those recovering after she jumped to safety from a third-floor window. Her husband, sister and 12-year-old grandson did not make it to safety.
