MORRIS HEIGHTS - Representatives from FEMA were in The Bronx today to teach students how to better prepare for emergencies.

FEMA representatives visited students at the Marc Academy in Morris Heights to talk about stockpiling clothing, food and clean water in case disaster strikes.

Representatives from the agency said that communication is very important during a disaster. They also said the best thing a parent can do for their child is to give them a little responsibility and allow them to participate in the planning for emergencies.
