Ferry Point Park to get restrooms

Ferry Point Park in Throgs Neck will soon have restrooms as part of a $3.6 million construction project.

THE BRONX - Ferry Point Park in Throgs Neck will soon have restrooms as part of a $3.6 million construction project.

The city is funding the project, which is expected to be completed in August 2017.

The founder of the group Friends of Ferry Point Park says she's been fighting for a bathroom in the park since 1999.

From May to November, as many as 8,000 people play sports in the park.
